ABC Nursery founded in 1979 by Verdell Aye for her love for children. She started caring for 6 children in what was her previous mobile home. As her love grew for children in the community, so did the business. So with the support of her husband, Sanders Aye, the home was expanded at the Poultry Lane location to accommodate 12 children. Many years went by and the need in the community grew, so in 1996 the existing property at 213 Vanbolken Street was purchased with a home located on the property.
After months of renovation Aye's Kinderoo Care CDC opened in Fall 96 and was able to accommodate 25 children. After 2 years and the need grew for infant and toddler care, an additional building was added in 2000 to accommodate 18 infants and toddlers. Working tirelessly throughout the years her 2 daughters Stephanie and Sandra decided to join the family business and help it grow.
Working side by side the family decided to add an additional building that would accommodate the preschool need in the community for children 2-4 years old. This building was added in 2001 to accommodate 35 preschool children. After 100's of children experiencing the love and nurturing from Aye's Kinderoo Care, we have heard testimonies from parents, children and the overall community on what a positive impact the center has been over the years being the only childcare center in the town of Eastover.
We've had generations of families pass through the center which demonstrates the continued love and support of community. In December of 2020 due to a brief illness, Mrs. Verdell Aye passed away and the legacy was passed on to her daughter Stephanie Aye. She continues to inspire and grow the center and provides services to uplift and promote a healthy learning environment for each child that enters the doors of Aye's Kinderoo Care Child Development Center. Today with the help of 20+ employees and her father Sanders Aye the family business Aye's Kinderoo CDC is still thriving.
